Clerkenwell Design Week

This week we took a walk down the road to Clerkenwell to visit a festival celebrating the creativity, social relevance and technological advancements of design, through an exciting three-day programme of workshops, presentations, product launches and debates.

Clerkenwell Design Week features all the elements you would expect from a festival, including exhibitions, installations, street entertainment, music, food, parties and receptions. It is the ideal opportunity for the creative design community to meet up in a relaxed yet inspiring environment.

One of the best parts was the House of Detention – a subterranean Victorian prison, containing cutting edge designers showcasing their latest products, bright furniture and innovative lighting products set against the dark dripping brickwork of the historic London cells.
